Leveling to 80 isn't super difficult, and you get map progression and hero points. Most importantly, you learn how to play your character. Do your personal story, explore the world, do events. GW2 is a slow burn meant to be enjoyed. Save the level 80 token for your second character you want to try out.

At least level up 1 char to max without boosters, so you get the general feeling of the game. Also recommend any new class to play without the booster for a while. Too many skills, skill tree nodes and mechanics to learn, it can be overwhelming to go directly to lv 80. You can also use the booster for the gear you get.

You are no longer gaining levels. And for that matter all the expansions your still just level 80. I realize you go into different specializations. But you lose that sense of progression. Your level up masteries instead. You have nearly 500 of those so enjoy. After that, they are used for spirit shards.
