Mission Planner: Live Compass Calibration Hold the vehicle in the air and rotate it slowly so that each side (front, back, left, right, top and bottom) points down towards the earth for a few seconds in turn. Update below: 1. Last night I updated the GPS firmware as per Ardupilot support pages. Downloaded Ublox app and uploadex 3dr-gps FW via ardupilot usb. 2. My GPS+Compass combo from GoodluckBuy has a different led pattern. Today i took it outside and it locked 12 satelites in 3 minutes after power up. Connect to the vehicle’s autopilot (i.e. Pixhawk, Cube, etc) using Mission Planner. Open the Initial Setup >> Optional Hardware >> RTK GPS Inject screen. For first time setup in a new location, click the Enter Base Position button, make sure the dialog box shows empty location information, as shown below: Vehicle: normal setup for serial GPS (GPS_TYPE = 1) or DroneCAN GPS (GPS_TYPE = 9) Attach RTK GPS via USB to PC running Mission Planner or QGC. You first must “survey-in” the GPS, in Mission Planner. After the GPS is attached to the PC, start Mission Planner, enter the COM port to which it is attached and press “Connect”.

Impossible to connect Cube to MP by USB. I’m trying to connect my cube to Mission planner. I can the COM Port on my computer but Mavlink block and failed when I launch the connection. with a baudrate at 115200. The cube is only linked to the GPS and the buzzer. I make the connection with the micro USB on the side .

We have a working dual GPS set up with a Pixhawk 1 (well, a Chinese made one labeled 2.4.8) and Mission Planner. We have the M8N GPS/compass module feeding into SERIAL3 and our own RTK GPS solution feeding NMEA messages to SERIAL4. GPS_AUTO_SWITCH is set to “UseBest”. Set up works, except for one interesting quirk. When I force a “failure”, where SERIAL4 no longer gets any data Mission planner gimbal settings were removed. This would allow pan and tilt. Since upgrading to 3.5 its all gone wrong! As the parameters have changed I am not sure if the SBUS option will work. I have gone back to putting tilt on AUX1 and configuring mission planner camera gimbal, Sero9 for tilt and Input Channel set to 8. Nothing happens. uer0p.
